There were no objections of the February minutes and reading of the minutes was waived. Motion was made and approved to accept the minutes as written.

Nominating Committee - Lori sent out emails to the Elementary Schools to solicit for openings on the PTA Executive Board. One person said she would take Tracy German’s VP position.

 

Building Space Use – A letter came out regarding changes in deadlines for reserving use of the building. Groups will need to reserve for next year by June 1^st. An email will go out about this.

Feb. Income Included:  $1,159.99 Escrip and Box Tops, $149.13 Miscellaneous,  $43.60 Other Fundraiser Income.

Feb. Expenses Included: $680.00 6^th Grade Activities, $190.13 7^th Grade Activities, $750.00 Cultural Arts, $228.97 Recognition-Student, $19.98 Web Site,  $93.33 Teacher/Staff appreciation, $873.33  Teacher Team Suport.

 

March Income Included: $85.00 Other Fundraiser Income.

March Expenses Included: $36.00 8th Grade Activities,$1,262.95 Recognition-Honor Roll, $2,181.03 Teacher Team Support.

 

Other Notes: We still need an auditor. We may have to offer monetary compensation to recruit someone. We should be getting Drama Club income soon. Reimbursement forms will be sent out to all committee chairs so that committee expenses can be reimbursed by a set deadline. Some ongoing committees have not submitted any expenses for the year.

 

MSA testing is right around the corner. Testing will occur next Tues/Wed. and the following Tues/Wed. as well. Thanks to a generous donation, every student will get a water bottle and snack each day of testing. 

 

We have a pep rally in plans for Friday.

 

5^th Grade orientation is coming up - The 5^th Grade GT Parent Orientation will be held on 4/17. We’ll have the 5^th grade teachers here this Friday 3/28. The 5^th Grade Parent Orientation night will be on 5/12 and the 5^th grade students come to visit the school on 5/15.

 

There are no teacher reports today as they are in an MSA meeting.

 

MEMBERSHIP: Not much new. The check is due on 3/31.

            Magazine Drive – We received a few additional checks in January.

Spirit Wear –  Info out soon. Orders will be due in April and delivered in May.

            Escrip – Checks are coming in. We have received about $4,000 so far. Budget was for $3,000.
